FOUR new exhibits to open!!

That's right, FOUR new exhibits are all going up at the same time! In Mowry Alumni Center, located on the JAYwalk, alumna Barbara Timmons, '54 is showing her fabulous acrylic landscapes. You can see them Monday thru Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. There will be a talk and reception in October, more details later!

In Gallery 2001, located in Beeghly Library, also on the JAYwalk, there is an exhibit of Branch Rickey memorabilia. Branch was also an alum of Ohio Wesleyan; you may remember him as the manager who hired Jackie Robinson, breaking the color barrier in major league baseball. OWU is launching a website with these and other pieces of ephemera from Branch's life. There will be a reception in the Gallery on Saturday, October 3rd at 5:00pm.

In the Ross Art Museum, TWO exhibits are being installed. The first is Malleable Thought, a group exhibit of regional ceramists including Eva Kwong, Jessica Knapp, Kyle and Kelly Phelps, Bobby Scroggins and Hunter Stamps. Ceramics professor Kristina Bogdonov is installing a wall piece.

In the West and Mayhew galleries, our illustrious director Justin Kronewetter is installing the work of the Distinguished Alumni Artist for 2009, Marilyn Meek Webster '63 in anticipation of her talk and reception on Friday, October 2nd. The talk will be at 2:00pm.

The Ross Museum exhibits will open on Thursday, October 1st. The Gallery 2001 and Mowry Alumni Center exhibits are open now!
