Gallery 2001 in Beeghly Library will host "Journey From The Cloth", an exhibit by Derrick Davis, from April 11 through May 17, 2009. Davis, a resident of Dayton, Ohio, focuses on Kente cloth, with its vibrant colors and patterns and links it with an architectural approach that results in a visual and exciting composition. Working with Prismacolor Pencils, the works are typically between 15" -19" high and 35"-43" long.
Davis will give a talk on Wednesday, April 22nd, followed by an Artist's Reception. Plan to attend!
